Self-described as "legendary pussy music", Grove's music is just that. They've released their second EP, SPICE. Grove explains, "This mixtape is an ode to the exciting and lust-filled period of new relationships, and explores everything from steezy self-confidence, to slippery sensual encounters and the soft cheeks of a lover". The EP's production is firmly rooted in both Jamaican and British culture, soaking up influences from Dancehall, Dub and Bristol to mould the sound. Placed at the end of the EP is the little gem 'Soft Cheeks'. It's the most intimate track on the record, where we get a glimpse of Grove's softer side in comparison to the more potent and heavily rhythmic vocal style that dominates the record. 'Soft Cheeks' is overwhelmingly sensuous, the steady electronics reverberate orgasmically and Grove's words sit heavy like tired muscles, 'Four limbs are piece-less, we intertwine, body it shudders when you caress mine'. Halfway through, the track gains intensity, introducing jungle-tinged drums and fibrous synths that both drone and climax simultaneously.
